Indian superstar Diljit Dosanjh rocks Winnipeg’s Canada Life Centre

Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh continued the western Canadian leg of his tour Friday by packing another arena – this time in Winnipeg.

The singer-songwriter and filmmaker, one of India’s most popular entertainers, performed at the Canada Life Centre.

It was the second Canadian date on his “Dil-Luminati” tour. He made history last weekend with a sold-out show for more than 54,000 fans at Vancouver’s BC Place – the largest Punjabi concert outside of India.

While the crowd in Winnipeg was considerably smaller – capacity for concerts at Canada Life Centre is 16,345 – the fans were certainly entertained.

“LOOK AT THIS BEAUTY” Dosanjh wrote in a social media post alongside a video of fans using their cell phones to light up the darkened venue.

The singer continues his tour with stops in Alberta next – Edmonton’s Rogers Place (May 6) and Calgary’s Saddledome (May 8). He then performs in the United States before returning to Canada for a Toronto show on July 13.
