Woman injured in Main Street stabbing: Winnipeg police

A woman is recovering in hospital after what Winnipeg police are describing as a stabbing incident Saturday morning.

Police say they were called to Main Street and Logan Avenue – near the Manwin Hotel – around 6:10 a.m. Officers arrived to find a woman with injuries “consistent with being assaulted with an edged weapon.”

The victim was taken to hospital in unstable condition. Her status was later upgraded to stable.

The WPS major crimes unit is investigating.
