Streveler, Bryant returning to Bombers for 2024 season

With the start of training camp just over two months away, on Thursday the Winnipeg Blue Bombers officially welcomed back standout lineman Stanley Bryant and fan favourite Chris Streveler.

“I’m just so fired up to be back around these people that I love,” said Streveler. “I didn’t come here for any other reason than to win.”

Best known for his thunderous touchdown runs and his fur coat from the 2019 Grey Cup Parade, Streveler returns to the blue and gold after four seasons chasing his NFL dream.

“Bring back some of that knowledge and experience that I have gained and share that with this team in order to make everyone better.”

Entering his 14th CFL Season, and ninth with Winnipeg. Seven-time all-star Stanley Bryant says he took some time to put the disappointment of last year’s Grey Cup behind him. But remains confident that the Bombers can finish the job this upcoming season.

“After I got over my pity party, I decided I still had a lot left in the tank so I wanted to come back,” said Bryant.

“We’re just like every team that didn’t go to the playoffs, we didn’t win a Grey Cup we just got a little further. So I think each guy knows what to do when they come into this building this year, knowing that we got to get there but we need to win.”

The Bombers will open the pre-season against the Saskatchewan Roughriders on May 20.
