Winnipeg police investigating suspicious death in apartment building

Winnipeg police say they are investigating a homicide that happened on Wednesday morning.
WPS says around 6:20 a.m., officers responded to an apartment along Assiniboine Avenue, following reports of the suspicious death of a man.
The Winnipeg Fire and Paramedic Service (WFPS) was reportedly already at the scene and found the man dead in the hallway of the apartment.
The man has since been identified as 19-year-old River Harper.
Winnipeg police are investigating the death as a homicide and are asking anyone with information, to contact investigators at 204-986-6508 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-8477.
