Winnipeg police say they’ve seized an additional $1.6 million worth of fentanyl and cocaine as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation.

Police say it’s part of an operation that extends into Morden and Winkler.

Through the investigation, police had previously seized $600,000 in fentanyl and cocaine, along with two loaded guns and more than $50,000 in cash. Three men, aged 19, 24 and 30, were arrested and charged.

The WPS drug enforcement unit made an additional arrest on Jan. 26: a 27-year-old woman taken into custody at a home on Plessis Road.

Police say a search warrant revealed three kilograms of fentanyl and one kilogram of cocaine.

She is facing multiple charges, including possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.
