Woman charged with 2nd-degree murder in Tyndall Park fatal stabbing

A Winnipeg woman has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 19-year-old man in Tyndall Park last week.

The Winnipeg Police Service was called to a home on Arrow Street near Selkirk Avenue on Jan. 10 around 7:20 p.m.

Police say an injured man, later identified as Binesi Kennedy, was taken to hospital in critical condition where he died of his injuries.

On Sunday, homicide unit investigators charged Anna Marie Hanska, 46, with second-degree murder. She was detained in custody.

Police say the victim and suspect did not know each other.
