19-year-old facing charges in connection to fatal stabbing: Winnipeg police

Winnipeg police say a 19-year-old is facing charges in connection to a fatal stabbing that happened Wednesday morning.

Officers say they responded to a report of a stabbing near Talbot Avenue and Watt Street at around 8 a.m.

When they arrived at the scene, a man was found suffering from a stab wound. He was taken to hospital in unstable condition, where he later died.

Police have identified the man as 46-year-old Iven Rubanik.

Since then, the 19-year-old has been taken into custody and is facing charges.
