Woman injured after shooting downtown: Winnipeg police

Winnipeg police say a woman is recovering in hospital after a shooting downtown early Saturday morning.

The Winnipeg Police Service says it received a report of shots fired on Garry Street and Graham Avenue around 12:55 a.m.

Officers reportedly found a woman with injuries and applied a tourniquet. The victim was taken to hospital, where she is in stable condition.

The WPS major crimes unit is investigating.
