Winnipeg police say no one was injured after CO2 cartridges explode

Winnipeg police says officers responded to a bomb threat Thursday morning near Donald Street and Broadway.

WPS says officers responded to a call that a device had been detonated outside a building. A report indicated a woman was walking near the area and as she passed by, there was a small explosion from a container.

The Bomb Unit attended the scene and confirmed there was no further risk to public safety.

Additionally the Bomb Unit said a small cation containing CO2 cartridges appeared to have been detonated.

Police say no one was injured and no damages have been reported.
