Winnipeg police investigating fatal apartment shooting

Winnipeg police say a man is dead after a shooting in an apartment building Wednesday night.

The WPS says just after 11 p.m., officers responded to a report that a man had been shot near Mulvey Avenue and Daly Street.

When officers arrived, they found 46-year-old Damion Wayne Skrumeda suffering from a gunshot wound.

Police have provided few details but confirm Skrumeda has died.
