Man dies of injuries in Lipton Street alley: Winnipeg police

Winnipeg police say a man has died following “suspicious circumstances” on Monday.

WPS say around 4:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of an injured man in a lane near Lipton Street, between Ellice Avenue and Sargent Avenue.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found a 56-year-old man. He was taken to hospital in critical condition, where he was later pronounced dead.

Police say the family has been notified, and an autopsy is pending.

At this time, no arrests have been made.
