Man charged in connection to fatal North End shooting

Winnipeg police have charged 21-year-old Dartanian Francesco Martin Packuluk in connection to fatal shooting Sunday morning in North End.
The Winnipeg Police Service says it received a report of a man who had been shot on Mountain Avenue near Andrews Street around 12:45 a.m.
In a release Monday morning, WPS said the victim had been identified as 23-year-old Everett Patterson King.
Through initial stages of the investigation, it is believed King and Packuluk were unknown to each other when they attended a gathering at a home in the 500 block of Mountain Avenue.
Police believe they had an encounter outside the home, which led to King being fatally shot.
