Semi lodged under CP Rail bridge, RCMP investigating

RCMP in Spruce Plains are investigating a semi-trailer collision that occurred on Highway 10 near Minnedosa, roughly 215 km West of Winnipeg.

Mounties responded to the scene around 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, after receiving a report that the truck had become stuck under a Canadian Pacific Railway overpass.

Officers noted farm equipment that had been loaded on the semi was too high, which lead to the collision with the bridge and the semi becoming stuck.

Minnedosa Fire Department and a tow company were called to help remove the semi.

CP Rail was also on hand to assess the damage of the bridge, and confirmed there appears to be minor damages.

RCMP say no injuries were reported and an investigation is ongoing.
