Woman dead after being hit by train in RM of Springfield, Manitoba

The RCMP in Oakbank, Manitoba has confirmed a woman is dead after she was hit by a train Wednesday afternoon.
Mounties along with Springfield Police and CP Police responded to a level crossing at Day Street, near Risque Avenue, in the RM of Springfield.
The woman has been confirmed as a 40-year-old from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Police have not released her name at this time.
RCMP and CP Police say the investigation is ongoing.
