Police lay charges in Sioux Valley Dakota Nation homicide

A 41-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy have been charged following a homicide in western Manitoba.

RCMP say they were called to Sioux Valley Dakota Nation on Saturday evening after receiving a report that someone had been shot.

They say officers located a 21-year-old man from the community, and he succumbed to his injuries in hospital.

The 41-year-old has been charged with second-degree murder as well as weapons offences, while the teen faces weapons offences.
