Man hospitalized after West End stabbing: police

Winnipeg police say a man was hospitalized Saturday morning after an alleged stabbing in the city’s West End.

The WPS and WFPS say they responded to the back lane at Wellington Avenue and Beverley Street around 12:30 a.m.

They say a man with multiple injuries was found and taken to hospital in unstable condition. He was later upgraded to stable.

Investigators believe an altercation occurred on Home Street near Wellington Avenue.

No arrests were made.

The WPS major crimes unit is investigation.
