Two Winnipeg eateries have cracked the list of best restaurants in Canada.

Deer+Almond and Máquè made it to Canada’s 100 Best Restaurants annual list.

Serving up dishes in the exchange district since 2012, Deer+Almond came in at no. 59 on the list.

The list-makers at Canada’s Best described it as “intimate and stylish” – with chef Mandel Hitzer at the helm.

Also landing in the top-100 was Máquè – at no. 98. It’s the second year in a row the Crescentwood restaurant, known for its Asian fusion small plates, makes the list.
