3 teens charged following assault in East Kildonan: Winnipeg police

Winnipeg police have charged three teens in connection to an alleged aggravated assault on May 7.

Around 1:30 a.m., the Winnipeg Police Service (WPS) responded to a report of an assault outside a home in East Kildonan.

When officers arrived, they found a youth male, suffering from serious injuries, sustained from an assault from a group of people according to a witness.

He was transported to hospital in unstable condition and has since been upgraded to stable.

Through an investigation, police were able to determine the victim was assaulted with a baseball bat before being robbed.

Since, the WPS has charged three teens between the ages of 14 and 16, with assault-related charges.
