7 adults, 3 teens, face charges following drug bust: Winnipeg police

The Winnipeg Police Service say ten people, including three teens, have been charged following a drug bust over the weekend.

WPS says around 5 a.m. on May 7, officers responded to reports of a fight within an apartment.

When officers arrived, they found several people within the apartment, along with drugs “in plain view.”

Officers immediately took all the individuals — four men in their 20s, three teenage boys between the ages of 13-15, and three women between the ages of 19 and 20 — into custody.

Police then issued a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant and seized the following items:

  • 30.5 grams of Crack Cocaine (estimated street value of $5,000)
  • 93 grams of powdered Cocaine (estimated street value of $9,300)
  • Approximately $10,000 in Canadian Currency
  • 5 cell phones
  • Trafficking paraphernalia

All ten individuals have since been charged with possession of cocaine with the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of property obtained by a crime.

Meanwhile, they have since been released on an undertaking as mandated by the Criminal Code.
