Westbound Portage Ave closed at Empress overpass due to collision

Some drivers may experience a bit of a headache while trying to get around Winnipeg Tuesday evening.
Winnipeg Police Service (WPS) says westbound traffic on Portage Avenue is closed at the Empress overpass due to a collision.
In a photo posted to Twitter by Winnipeg police, it appears an SUV hit a large piece of debris and the rail bridge over Portage Ave.

Police have closed eastbound access to the overpass at St. John Ambulance Way.
In addition, WPS has closed westbound access at Wall Street.
At this point in time, Winnipeg police have not confirmed if anyone was injured in the collision or how long the roads will be closed.
