Winnipeg police are investigating the death of a man found at a building downtown earlier this month as a homicide.

The WPS major crime unit identified the victim as 33-year-old Treymaine Traverse of Winnipeg.

Police say no arrests have been made.

They were alerted to the situation at the Main Street residence near Logan Avenue on March 9 following a call for medical attention.

Paramedics found the victim’s body when they arrived.

Winnipeg police initially categorized the man’s death as “suspicious.”
