1 dead, 1 seriously injured after West End shooting: WPS

Winnipeg police say a woman was killed and a second victim was seriously injured after an alleged shooting in West End Tuesday morning.

The Winnipeg Police Service says it received a report of a shooting on Beverley Street near Ellice Avenue around 6 a.m.

Officers say they found two victims with gunshot wounds. The woman was found dead at the scene, while a second victim was taken to hospital in unstable condition.

Police say no arrests have been made.

The homicide unit is investigating.
