By Temi Olatunde

A patient receiving care became violent at Grace Hospital Saturday morning, damaging a patient room and a bathroom, according to the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority.

Officers responded at around 7 a.m. to a report of a disturbance involving a man they say appeared to be in psychosis.

He was taken into custody, and there were no reports of physical injuries. The man was left in hospital care.

Police say they are continuing to investigate the matter.

The WRHA says damages will be assessed and repaired by the facility management.

The affected areas are expected to be fully operational again soon.
