Winnipeg police charge 18-year-old following stabbing and robbery

Winnipeg police have charged an 18-year-old in connection to a stabbing and robbery on Saturday.
WPS say around 12:45 a.m. on Dec. 10, patrol officers found a woman suffering from stab wounds in an alley near Keewatin Street and Logan Avenue.
Officers reportedly provided medical assistance until paramedics arrived and took her to hospital in stable condition.
Based on information provided by the woman, police believe she was approached by a man. An altercation occurred, at which point she was stabbed and robbed.
Police later found a man believed to be linked to the stabbing and robbery, and he was taken into custody and has been charged with robbery, assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon.
