Air Canada named best North American airline for 4th straight year by U.S. publication

Air Canada has been named the Best Airline in North America for the fourth straight year by readers of a U.S.-based publication geared towards frequent business and luxury travelers.

Global Traveller also bestowed the honour of Best Airline Cabin Cleanliness for the third consecutive year on the airline, which has has come under heavy criticism from customers for a number of issues over the last few years.

Air Canada was forced to reduce its schedule this past summer following multiple reports of delayed flights, disruptions, and daily turmoil at airports across the country, particularly at Pearson International in Toronto.

“These awards directly reflect the efforts of everyone across our airline, and of the culture we have built at Air Canada fostering teamwork, and taking care of our customers with care and class,” said Lucie Guillemette, Air Canada’s executive vice-president and chief commercial officer in a statement.
