Winnipeg police looking for driver in fatal hit-and-run

Winnipeg police are looking for the driver of a light-coloured SUV after a fatal hit-and-run Monday morning.
Winnipeg Police Service says around 2:45 a.m., a 56-year-old man was crossing the road at Notre Dame Avenue and Keewatin Street when he was hit by an SUV.
Officers and paramedics responded to the scene and the man was transported to hospital in critical condition. Police say he later died from injuries.
By the time officers arrived, the driver had already left the scene.
Winnipeg police are asking if anyone has any information or dash cam footage, to contact investigators at 204-986-7085 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-8477 (TIPS).
