Winnipeg police charge three men in September homicide

Winnipeg police have charged three men in connection to the death of 29-year-old Enrique George Courchene.

WPS say they responded to a vendor on Arlington Street near Logan Avenue, near the CP Logan Yards, for a report of an assault on Sept. 24 around 1:15 a.m.

It is believed Courchene went to the vendor where he was confronted by three men at which point an altercation occurred and Courchene was stabbed.

Officers found the victim seriously injured. He was taken to hospital in critical condition, where he was later pronounced dead.

On Wednesday, WPS said between Sept. 28 and Oct. 11, three men between 26 and 36 years old were arrested and charged with second-degree murder.
