Advanced voting underway for municipal election

Advanced voting for the Winnipeg municipal election began Monday.

All eligible voters will be able to cast their ballots for the next mayor, city councillor and school board trustee ahead of election day which is Oct. 26.

The City of Winnipeg provided a list of all early voting locations across the city, which anyone can vote at.

City Hall – 510 Main Street – Oct. 3-21;
Canada Life Centre – 300 Portage Avenue – Oct. 3-5;
University of Winnipeg (Room 2M70 – Manitoba Hall) – 515 Portage Avenue -Oct. 4 & 5;
Youth for Christ Gymnasium – 333 King Street – Oct. 4 & 5;
Grant Park Shopping Centre – 1120 Grant Avenue – Oct. 7 – 9;
Kildonan Place Shopping Centre – 1555 Regent Ave. West – Oct. 7 – 9;
CF Polo Park – 1485 Portage Ave – Oct. 7 – 9;
University of Manitoba (RM 217 GSA Lounge) – 65 Chancellor’s Circle – Oct. 11 & 12;
RRC Polytech (Notre Dame Campus – Building C, Lower Level) – 2055 Notre Dame Avenue – Oct. 12 & 13;
IKEA – 500 Sterling Lyon Parkway – Oct. 14-16;
Garden City Shopping Centre – 2305 McPhillips Street – Oct. 14-16;
St. Vital Centre – 1225 St. Mary’s Road – Oct. 14-16;
Community Advance Locations in all 15 Council Wards – Oct. 18-20.

Those who don’t vote in the advanced polls can find their election day voting location on their voter card or on the Elections Winnipeg website.

Anyone that is planning on voting in the advanced polls or on election day is asked to bring a valid id with their name and address, or any two documents that together show the person’s name and current address will also be accepted.
