The Winnipeg Jets honoured the late Dale Hawerchuk Saturday by unveiling a statue of the hockey legend at True North Square plaza.
Hawerchuk’s wife Crystal and some of his former teammates were in attendance.
There was also a fly-by featuring four 17 Wing CT-155 Hawks.
Hawerchuk, who became the face of the Winnipeg Jets, died in August 2020 at the age of 57 after a battle with stomach cancer.
