Winnipeg police say an officer shot a man at a home in the Point Douglas neighbourhood Tuesday morning.

Police say the “officer-involved shooting” happened around 8:15 a.m.

The man was taken to hospital in unstable condition. Police say he has since been upgraded to stable.

The province’s police watchdog, the Independent Investigation Unit of Manitoba (IIU), is investigating.
