One man dead following assault near CP Logan Yards: WPS

Winnipeg police are investigating the death of a 29-year-old man following an alleged assault early Saturday morning near the CP Logan Yards.

Police say they responded to a vendor on Arlington Street near Logan Avenue for a report of an assault around 1:15 a.m.

Officers found the victim seriously injured. He was taken to hospital in critical condition, where he was pronounced dead.

WPS has identified the victim as Enrique George Courchene from Winnipeg.

The homicide unit is investigating.
