Winnipeg police’s Major Crimes Unit is asking the public for help solving a robbery and assault investigation from July.
WPS say on July 20 a 62-year-old woman in a wheelchair was allegedly attacked from behind and fell to the ground near Hargrave Street and Ellice Avenue.
During the incident she was severely hurt, which left her in the hospital for a month.
Police say the woman doesn’t remember much about the incident but noted a bystander likely helped her back into her wheelchair.
Anyone who may have witnessed the robbery and assault is asked to contact Winnipeg police at 204-986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-8477.
