Queen Elizabeth II is dead. Here’s what happens now.

Queen Elizabeth II died on Thursday at the age of 96, after occupying the throne for 70 years. While people around the world mourn her loss or argue over her legacy, protocols are already in motion to install her successor.

Patricia Treble is a Royal reporter, she joined us back in 2019 to discuss the what happens in the minutes, hours, days and weeks following the passing of the Queen.

“We’ve known who the Queen is for so long, and this is simply the unknown,” she said.
