Manitoba man charged for allegedly posting explicit photos online without consent

A 43-year-old man from Manitoba has been charged for allegedly posting naked pictures of women online without their consent.

Winnipeg police say they first received a report in April 2022, of an intimate image being posted online without consent in 2015.

The Domestic Violence Unit (DVU) began an investigation and found multiple other incidents of the same nature and it is believed all of the photos were posted without consent.

On May 14, the 43-year-old man from Headingley, Manitoba, was charged with publication of an intimate image without consent.

He has since been released on an Undertaking with Crown imposed conditions, however, WPS say the investigation is ongoing and are asking anyone who has information to contact the DVU at 204-986-2602.

Other supports are available for victims via the WPS Victim Services at 204-986-6350 or Klinic Sexual Assault Crisis Line at 204-786-8631.
