Police say a six-year-old boy was killed after being struck by an ATV in southern Manitoba on Monday evening.
Pembina Valley RCMP say the boy was riding his scooter on a private roadway 16 kilometres north of Pilot Mound before 7:20 p.m.
Investigators determined the scooter “came around a blind corner” when he was hit by the ATV, which was being driven by a 19-year-old man.
Police say the child was taken to hospital in critical condition where he died of his injuries.
Pembina Valley RCMP are investigating.
Pilot Mound is about 180 kilometres southwest of Winnipeg.
