Man dies in possible stabbing outside Mount Royal Hotel: police
Police are investigating the reported stabbing death of a man outside a hotel in downtown Winnipeg early Sunday morning.
The WPS says officers found a “seriously injured” man in front of the Mount Royal Hotel on Higgins Avenue near Austin Street around 3:05 a.m.
Officers were called for a report of a stabbing.

Police say they provided emergency medical care.
The victim was then taken to hospital in critical condition, where he was pronounced dead.
The WPS’ homicide unit is investigating.
