Wind warning issued for Lake Manitoba and Lake Winnipeg

A high winding warning has been issued for parts of Manitoba.

The province says the south end of Lake Manitoba and the west side of Lake Winnipeg are expected to get the worst of the wind, with gusts expected to reach up to 85 km/h until Tuesday afternoon.

The high wind is expected to raise water levels in the areas around the south basin of Lake Manitoba and the western shorelines between Gimli and Victoria Beach along Lake Winnipeg.
