Woman charged with 2nd-degree murder in alleged Steinbach homicide

Police say a 34-year-old woman has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the death of a man in Steinbach, Man., on Friday.
Steinbach RCMP say the accused was taken into custody around 3 p.m., shortly after police received a report of a dead man inside a home.
Officers located the body of a 69-year-old man, and his death was determined to be a homicide.
The woman was in the home when officers arrived.
Police believe the accused and the deceased knew each other.
She is scheduled to appear in a Winnipeg court on Tuesday.
RCMP Major Crime Services was investigating.
