Manitoba to expand childcare centre in Brandon

By The Canadian Press

The Manitoba government has announced a $600,000 investment in the expansion of a child-care centre in Brandon.

The money is meant to provide capital funding for the project at the Y-M-C-A in the city’s downtown.

The provincial education and early childhood learning minister says the expansion is to double the number of spaces at the Y Downtown.

Wayne Ewasko says there are to be 96 spaces in total, with 12 new spots for infants and 32 new ones for preschoolers.
