Three teens charged in stabbing at The Forks on June 29

Three teens are facing charges relating to an assault at The Forks on June 29.

Winnipeg Police Service say around 12:30 a.m. that day, two groups got into an altercation, which resulted in two people being stabbed and another individual receiving other injuries.

Two 15-year-old women have been charged with possession of a weapon and carrying a concealed weapon. One of the 15-year-olds is also facing assault charges and a breach of a court order.

The other teen facing charges is an 18-year-old man. He’s been charged with two counts of assault with a weapon.

The names of all three have been held by Winnipeg Police.

WPS say three others were also taken into cutody, but no charges have been laid at this point.

The Stabbing on June 29, is one of multiple stabbing incidents at The Forks over a couple of days. Another saw a recent immigrant from Ukraine get stabbed in an unprovoked incident.
