Suspect charged with 2nd-degree murder in fatal shooting at gathering

Winnipeg police say they have arrested a suspect in the fatal shooting of a 31-year-old man.

They say Aaron McKay was found at a residence on Alexander Avenue Sunday morning suffering from a gunshot wound.
McKay died in hospital of his injuries.

Investigators had said they believed there was a gathering of people at the residence when McKay was shot.

Police say a 37-year-old was arrested Tuesday and has been charged with second-degree murder and two firearms offences.

He was detained in custody.
