A 44-year-old man is in hospital after allegedly being stabbed by a 21-year-old man who lives with him, police say.
The Winnipeg Police Services says the man was stabbed Saturday around 11:30 a.m. at a home on Burrows Avenue near Main Street.
Officers say they found the victim suffering from a life-threatening injury. They gave him emergency medical care until paramedics arrived.
The man was taken to hospital in critical condition. His status was later upgraded to stable.
Investigators say they arrested the suspect about three hours later a few blocks away on Main Street, near Dufferin Avenue.
Police believe the victim was “stabbed without provocation.”

He was detained in custody.
