Man hospitalized with serious wound after shooting at lounge on Portage

Police say a shooting took place at a lounge on Portage Avenue late Tuesday night.

The Winnipeg Police Service says it responded to reports of a shooting at the lounge in the 1800 block of Portage around 11:45 p.m.

Officers say they determined two suspects fled the scene after the shooting.

A man was hospitalized with a serious gun shot wound shortly afterwards. Police believe he was involved in the incident.

No other injuries were reported.
