Winnipeg woman charged with manslaughter in May 2021 death of Jasmine Normand

A 31-year-old Winnipeg woman has been charged with manslaughter in connection with a homicide from more than a year ago.

The investigation into the May 10, 2021 homicide of Jasmine Normand led police to a suspect.

Police believe the suspect and victim knew each other and had an altercation at Normand’s home on Maryland Street, which resulted in her death.

Police arrested the 31-year-old suspect at a home in the Daniel McIntyre neighbourhood on Tuesday.

She was charged and detained in custody.
