Manitoba Hydro says most customers have had their power restored after an outage southwest of Winnipeg early Friday.
The utility determined about 13,000 customers were affected by around 10:30 a.m.
Manitoba Hydro says the outage was due to a subtransmission line that tripped shortly before 10 a.m.
Crews located a burnt pole in Sanford. Power remained down for customers between Sanford and Brunkild as crews worked on the issue.
Power was expected to be restored by 5:30 p.m.
