The Manitoba government is contributing $2 million towards a fundraising campaign for the province’s only child advocacy centre.

The Toba Centre for Children and Youth hopes to raise $15 million to help pay for renovations at a new location in Winnipeg.

Premier Heather Stefanson says the province is proud to support the centre in its efforts to expand services and supports for children who have experienced abuse.

The new facility in Assiniboine Park will allow the centre to work with law enforcement, child protection, mental health, medical and victim advocacy professionals under one roof.
