By The Canadian Press

Police in Winnipeg say three people have been arrested following the discovery of a missing man’s body in a rural area northwest of the city.

Brandon Brust and a 22-year-old woman were reported missing from Scanterbury, Man., near Lake Winnipeg, in February.

Brust’s vehicle was located in the city and police say the woman was found at a known drug house.

Police say the missing woman, as well as another woman who was at the house, had been seriously assaulted.

Police allege the man was killed at the house and his body moved to another spot.

The remains of Brust, who was 26, were found on March 30.

A 29-year-old was charged with second-degree murder, sexual assault and forcible confinement, among other charges.

Two women ages 38 and 18, have been charged with accessory after the fact to murder.

Police say all three are in custody.
