Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins dead at 50

The American rock band Foo Fighters has announced its drummer, Taylor Hawkins, has died.

The band tweeted condolences Friday, adding, “The Foo Fighters family is devastated by the tragic and untimely loss…”

They are remembering the 50-year-old drummer for his infectious laughter and musical spirit.

“Our hearts go out to his wife, children and family.”

The band did not say what the cause of Hawkins’ death was.
