Winnipeg police arrest man in connection to sexual assault of 12-year-old

Winnipeg Police have made an arrest in a child sexual assault case.

Following information first released by WPS on Mar. 23, the Child Abuse Unit (CAU) of the Winnipeg police was able to identify a suspect in connection with the sexual assault of a 12-year-old.

WPS said Wednesday, Auxillary Force Cadets patrolling Downtown located the suspect, they then informed Central District officers who assisted in the man’s arrest.

The 36-year-old man arrested has been charged with sexual assault and sexual interference.
