Members of Winnipeg City Council may have been exposed to COVID-19 on Wednesday.
In a statement issued by the City, everyone that attended Wednesday’s meeting of the Executive Policy Committee (EPC), has been listed as a close contact of a positive.
“Those who attended the meeting have been advised that they do not need to self-isolate, but need to monitor for symptoms and follow public health guidelines if they start experiencing COVID-19 symptoms,” reads the statement.
The city added a deep cleaning of council chambers has occurred and all attendees inside City Hall are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as well as following all COVID-19 protocols.
